For Jorge Silva, it's never just closing the deal that matters when working with his clients; it's the rapport he builds and the relationship that truly matter most. His experience, quick thinking and get-it-done approach fuels his desire and ability to always deliver for his clients.
It all began on a cold, rainy morning in March of 2015, when 22-year old Jorge walked into a Long Island City real estate office and struck an interesting deal with its head broker.
The deal was this: Jorge would carry out the duties of an intern, follow orders and be on call 24/7 whenever Sean, head broker, needed assistance for whatever reason. If Jorge agreed to do this for 6 months with no pay, Sean would pay off all of his real estate school, license and marketing expenses in return.
Needless to say, both agreed to these terms and for 6 months Jorge was mentored by the seasoned real estate veteran Sean Christie.
Apprentice followed the teacher on appointments, showings, important meetings and many, many contract signings. Not to mention the frequent coffee, post office and bank runs stereotypically expected of a young intern. At the end of those 6 months, Jorge took the necessary steps to earn his real estate license. But even after receiving his license, Jorge underwent an additional 6 months of training under Sean, learning through osmosis as well as trial & error, until both felt confident that he was proficient in the Long Island City real estate market.
Today, Jorge is one of the top producing agents in Christie Property Group's Long Island City branch. Always putting clients first, Jorge seeks to connect with the needs of those who choose to work with him. With his finger constantly on the pulse of the market, Jorge continues to excel as a Long Island City real estate professional.
